TOPEX, the European telecom equipment manufacturer and NGN solution provider, announced today that Edslan, its Italian partner, has deployed TOPEX Voxell ISDN equipment to complete interoperability tests with Samsung OfficeServ 7030 Converged Communications Server.

TOPEX provided EDSLAN with a high quality solution for converting any call with a mobile network destination from Samsung 7030 server into mobile-mobile calls inside the same 3G network with substantially reduced cost.
The deployment is based on TOPEX Voxell ISDN equipment with 1 and 2 cellular modules, a fixed-cellular terminal for voice that can connect one PBX with ISDN-BRI ports to 3G networks.
The equipment acts as a bi-directional bridge between ISDN BRI and 3G network. The Voxell uses similar interfaces to the Mobilink GSM gateways so they are also compatible with the Samsung product.

Samsung OfficeServ 7030 Converged Communications Server is specifically designed for small businesses that need a sophisticated communications solution that's also simple to implement and manage. The OfficeServ 7030's all-in-one, compact design has been engineered to deliver a highly affordable, easy-to-use and secure IP platform for fully integrated voice, data and wireless communication.
